Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan congratulated filmmaker D. Ramanaidu on being conferred the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award, 2009 for his outstanding contribution to the world of Indian cinema and in a message, expressed his happiness. Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi termed the distinction given to Mr. Ramanaidu as one that was an honour for the Telugu film industry and described him as a living legend'. Actor-producer and former MP M. Mohan Babu said that if he could make good films, it was only out of inspiration that he derived from Mr. Naidu and said this was reason enough for the entire film industry to celebrate Ganesh Chavithi with special enthusiasm.
