The "God" of South Indian cinema has done it again. Superstar Rajnikanth, this time in a double role, one human, the other a robot, has made magic yet again with his latest film, Robot, which hit about 1,000 theatre screens across India on Friday. Before thronging theatres across the country in hundreds of thousands, the die-hard fans of the superstar were seen thronging temples, even those built to worship him, and offering obeisance for the success of his film.

"Robot," was released as Endhiran in Tamil on Friday and the response from the South Indian fans of Rajnikanth has been equally, if not more, enthusiastic.The film, which stars Rajnikanth with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, is the story of a scientist who creates a look-alike robot, who turns rogue on being infused with the capability to feel emotions just like humans.
