The wedding celebrations of Junior NTR and Lakshmi Pranathi commenced in the specially laid setting in the Hitex grounds on Thursday evening with relatives, friends, fans and who's who in the State capital making their way to the venue.

The couple entered wedded life with Mr. NTR tying the nuptial knot to Ms. Pranathi at the auspicious time of 2.41 a.m. this morning. A team of 36 priests from East Godavari district led by Karuparthi Koteswara Rao Sidhanti, who is also Junior NTR's personal astrologer, performed the wedding.

The wedding has political significance as the groom is the son of N. Harikrishna and grandson of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao and the bride is the granddaughter of another former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's elder sister.
