Polavaram: TDP asks Ponnala to step down
Telugu Desam Party has demanded the resignation of the Major Irrigation Minister, Ponnala Lakshmaiah for misleading people by feigning ignorance over a strong letter from Union Ministry of Environment and Forests on Polavaram irrigation project.
Releasing the letter at a mediaconference, Telugu Desam Legislature Party deputy leader, G. Muddukrishnama Naidu and MLC, Y. B. Rajendra Prasad said the Minister and the government gave an impression that all clearances have been obtained for Polavaram and that it would soon get national status along with Pranahita-Chevella.
