Naidu says land distribution displaced thousands of poor people

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday expressed surprise at the All India Congress Committee meeting at Delhi skipping discussion on corruption, at a time when the issue had attained monumental proportions.
Addressing a series of meetings for the second day during a tour of Seri Lingampally, Kukatpally and Qutbullapur Assembly constituency around Hyderabad, Mr. Naidu it was no surprise that all the previous agreements were reworked for personal benefit causing a loss to the exchequer while displacing thousands of poor people, he alleged.
The way the Government made APIIC reduce its stake in Emaar Properties from 26 to six per cent and in the Raheja IT park from 11 to 0.6 per cent stood out as classic examples.
Mr. Naidu was accompanied by senior leader T. Devender Goud and MLAs, P. Mahender Reddy and K. S. Ratnam. Pointing to Lanco Hills project he said 100 acres of Wakf land was given away to it.
