Governor, Chief Minister greet people
Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Rosaiah extended their warmest Deepavali greetings to the people of the State. The Chief Minister in his message to people said Deepavali was a festival that would infuse people with new enthusiasm and brighten their lives. The festival symbolised victory of good over evil.
However the flood havoc in coastal districts damaged the crops and left hundreds of families in despair. The State government was taking measures on a war-footing to come to the rescue of the affected by the unexpected calamity, he said and called upon people to celebrate the festival in a simple manner.
