Raghuveera assures aid to rain hit farmers

The unprecedented flood drought and devastating deluge have destroyed the kharif crops in the large extent in state. Paddy, the prime crop in most parts of the state including the Krishna Delta, has been the worst hit, first because of the drought and now due to the deluge.
The state minister for Agriculture, Raghuveera Reddy state that , the recent rampant rains have damaged agricultural land over 3 lakhs acres. Apart from this, the minister said, the horticultural crops and food grains have also suffered extensive damage around 7 lakh metric tones.
Talking to mews men, the minister said that the Government would disburse the suitable input subsidies to farmers. Mr. Reddy visited the flood hit areas on Saturday, and reviewed the situation
