Despite intermittent rain, Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu continued his whirl-wind tour of the rain-affected areas in Krishna district on Monday. He called upon the farmers to get prepared for an agitation to get justice and work for their rights instead of endlessly suffering in debts and losses.

He extensively toured the paddy-growing areas and addressed farmers at Gannavaram, Hanuman Junction, Arugolanu, Gudivada and various other places.

He came down heavily on the Congress leaders, saying no efforts were being made to assure the farmers of providing assistance and support on behalf of the government when paddy farmers had lost most of the crop due to inundation and submergence in the recent rains.
