Nurses protest for regularisation
Tension prevailed when a score of nurses climbed up a overhead reservoir tank at Warangals, MGM Hospital premises and threatened to jump to death demanding regularisation of their services. The tension continued till late hours of Monday as they remained unrelenting despite the plea from the officials and police personnel.
In dark hours, when the BJP State unit president G. Kishan Reddy arrived at the hospital and promised to take up their issue, they agreed to come down. He said he called up the Health Minister Mr. Sudarshan Reddy who had agreed to meet him over the issue. There are 188 nurses who were appointed on contract basis in 2007 working at MGM Hospitals.
