Chief Minister asks officials to adhere to discipline and have time sense
Pulls up three departments for delay in clearing files

Seeking to tone up the administration, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has asked the Secretaries and heads of departments to follow the principle of clearing the files fast and improve the delivery system so that intended benefits of welfare and developmental schemes reach the targeted sections.

Addressing senior bureaucrats on Tuesday, he said each pending file carried a human story and any delay by weeks and months in clearing it would force the persons concerned to hang around offices.

The official concerned should clear the file by approving proposals in it or state the reasons for rejecting them.The secretaries were asked to make a complete study of the financial and other implications while drafting Bills for introducing legislation.
