Rosaiah to write to Centre offering land for the project

Andhra Pradesh is likely to get a second major port, ranking after Visakhapatnam, along with a shipyard, as the Centre is on the lookout for a suitable site along the State's 975-km coastline. Mr. Rosaiah will address a letter to the Union Government offering the land required for the project.
Besides, he will also request the Shipping Ministry to inspect the State's coastline to select a suitable site. During the meeting, Mr Rosaiah instructed officials to see that this opportunity was not lost. Reviewing ports and airports works earlier, the wanted steps to begin work on the supply of piped gas to Hyderabad, starting with NALSAR Colony in Shamirpet from next month, as scheduled.
