The effect of JAL cyclone could be seen in the states of Maharastra & Karnataka. The state has been receiving incessant rains from past two rains. Following the cloudburst activity in the states, the srisailam reservoir has receiving heavy flood inflows.

The inflow was recorded at 57,900 cusecs of water from Thungabhadra & 16,000 cusecs from Krishna Basin. The project witnessed 884.40 feet as against the maximum capacity, on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the APGENCO officials have started to generate power at the hydel stations at Srisailam using the flood water. According to the irrigation authorities, there are more inflows to be expected into the water basin by today.
