"Babu aims to gain political mileage", Says Minister

Condemning the baseless counter accusations of opposition leader N.Chandra Babu Naidu, on relief & rescue measures in Rain hit areas in state, the state Minister for revenue Mr.Dharmana Prasad Rao on Thursday, affirmed that Babu always aimed at gaining political mileage.

He asserted that the government is making all efforts to minimize the loss of life and property due to the cyclone. He revealed that, following the directions of chief minister, all ministers were staying in the districts and actively coordinating with the district collectors and other officials over the situation, on an hourly basis.

Turning his attention to former Chief Minister, The Minister pointed out that the TDP regime had paid Rs. 598 crore as insurance compensation during its 9-year tenure whereas the Congress has paid Rs. 2,696 crore during its 6-year stint.
