Opposition parties in the state vent their anger on the decesion taken by the government towards alloting licences to liquor bars. Protesting against the government, CPI activists staged a dharna at the Nampally Excise Office. Police arrested a few activists, who tried to create havoc at the office. The CPI activists alleged, that the government which has been inefficient to provide ample drinking water is now in a move to activate more belt shops in the region.
