Protests mar Rosaiah's Miryalaguda visit

The maiden visit, after taking over the reins of the State last year, of Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to Miryalaguda on Saturday, was marred by protests by the followers of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
A section of the audience predominantly comprising youth and women tried to interrupt the public meeting addressed by Mr. Rosaiah at NSP camp grounds. They were apparently annoyed over the absence of the portrait of YSR on the banner.
On arrival, Mr. Rosaiah paid homage to YSR's photo. The local leaders and representatives of various organisations vied with each other to felicitate Mr. Rosaiah.
Minor commotion prevailed during his speech as the YSR fans once again made abortive attempts to disrupt the meeting. Supporters of categorisation of SC reservation and separate Telangana voiced their respective demands at the same time.
