Congress Working Committee member K. Keshava Rao said that TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has promised him that the agitation for separate Telangana will be violence-free. During our three-hour-long deliberations in New Delhi, Mr. Rao asserted that he wanted creation of a separate State without bloodshed.

He promised to agitate on those lines, Dr. Rao said at a press conference on Saturday. He defended the TRS chief stating that the latter's aim was to achieve Telangana. He pointed out that remarks made by the TRS leader against Seemandhra' people were made at the height of agitation. He has no such ill-feelings for the other regions now, he said.
