iruchanur gearing up for the grand festival

Kartheeka Brahmotsavam will be conducted at the TTD's Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple from December 10. Tiruchanur, the abode of Goddess Padmavathi, also called Alamelu Manga, is gearing up for the grand annual festival.
The festival will start with the hoisting of the temple flag Dhwajarohanam on December 2, while the other important events are Hamsa Vahanam, Gaja Vahanam, golden chariot and Garuda Vahanam, Rathotsavam and Panchami Theertham.
Laksha Kumkum archana will coincide with the initiatory ritual Ankurarpanam to be performed on December 1 amidst chanting the name of the goddess by when priests one lakh times.
Pushpa Yagam will be performed on December 11, when mounds of flowers of various hues and fragrances will be used.TTD Executive Officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao released the posters and publicity graffiti of the Brahmotsavam on Monday.
