The Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee has called for Hyderabad bandh on Tuesday to protest the recruitment of sub-inspectors in the city. Despite the home minister, Ms P. Sabita Indra Reddy's assurance that no SI recruitment will be taken up in the city till the matter concerning whether Hyderabad should be included in the Free Zone is resolved, the OUSJAC has decided to go ahead with the bandh. It asked all education institutions, government offices, shops and petrol pumps to be closed today.
