Angry students pelt stones Sets a bus on fire in protest against the arrest of protestors

Violence broke out in Osmania University campus after angry students pelted stones, and set on fire 1 RTC bus during a rally to protest against the arrest of police aspirants to the posts of sub-inspectors, at the DGP office on Monday.

The students took out a huge rally in Osmania University, and demanded the release of aspirants who had been arrested, when they tried to barge inside the DGP office. Raising slogans against police lathi-charge and arrest of aspirants, JAC members demanded their release and lifting of the cases filed against them.

The protestors demanded that the government make its stand clear on free zone issue, and declare Hyderabad as no free zone. They warned that they would not allow the government to conduct the written test for the recruitment tests for the posts of 1,200 sub-inspectorss until it made its stand clear on free zone issue.
