Telangana Congress MPs meet Chidambaram

Congress Members of Parliament from Telangana called on Union Home Minister P. Chidambarm in New Delhi on Tuesday and urged him to initiate follow up action on the Andhra Pradesh Assembly resolution making Hyderabad part of sixth zone.
The delegation comprising - G. Vivekananda, Manda Jagannath, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Sarvey Satyanarayana - in a representation to the Union Home Minister wanted him to process the resolution passed in Andhra Pradesh Legislature on sixth zone and then conduct the examinations for the Sub-Inspectors.
A press release by Dr. Vivekananda said the Union Minister had pointed out that he had already requested the Chief Minister to send a legal opinion so that a Presidential proclamation could be brought. The delegation later met the AICC general secretary M. Veerappa Moily and requested that the examination for SIs should be postponed until the presidential proclamation was issued.
