The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the recommendations given by the Group of Ministers to ensure that all the students eligible for post-matric scholarships and fee reimbursement scheme availed the benefit. It also approved the guidelines given for issuance of income certificates by the Tahsildars and make them accountable for any discrepancy. The post-matric scholarships and fee reimbursement scheme is extended to SC,ST, BC, Minority and OBC students whose family's annual income did not exceed Rs. 1 lakh. Giving the details of the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K.Rosaiah, said that while the Cabinet resolved to extend the fee reimbursement scheme on a saturation mode, it would be extended only for students given admission under the Convenor's quota in various courses.
