Naidu urges CM to help Anantapur farmers

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged chief minister K Rosaiah to pay personal attention to the plight of farmers who suffered crop damage for the fourth consecutive year in Anantapur district and grant liberal assistance to them.
In a letter to Rosaiah, Naidu said that groundnut, the principle crop in the district, was so badly damaged due to natural calamities that it was not fit for using it as fodder. He urged the CM to ensure that the farmers get speedy insurance claims and input subsidy. On the other side Babu is all set to visit Vishakaptanam today to participate in developmental programmes.
