Agitating paramedical staff called off protest after Health Minister D Nagender assured in writing to fulfill their demands. The protesting paramedical employees had taken the step of locking themselves inside to press the government to solve their long-pending demands.

The protestors had staged a dharna in front of the office demanding that the government regularized the services of the employees on contract. The striking employees came out of the room after the minister obliged by their demand.

Earlier on Monday, Paramedical Contract Employee Association leaders had held a meeting with Nagendar which had failed. Thursday's protest was a result of that failed meeting.
