A day after airing a story critical of Congress and its chief Sonia Gandhi, A television channel claimed that it had not targeted. The Sakshi's CEO Priyadarshini Ram, denied airing any anti-Sonia Gandhi story in the channel.

Speaking with the media on Sunday, Mr.Ram clarified that, it was only a biographical sketch of the leader and a reflection of media reports on the party's performance in various states and the recent scams. On the occassion, Ram highlighted that there was no intervention by Mr. Jagamnohan with regard to the editorial content of the TV channel.

The special story on Friday was telecast to mark the 125th anniversary celebrations of Congress. It had said the grand old party was on a rapid degeneration across the country and even Ms. Sonia herself was facing rough weather in Rae Bareilly constituency.
