3rd Holy Monday in Karthika masam
The Lord Shiva temples in Srikakulam witnessed huge crowds on Monday. On the occasion of auspicious 3rd Monday during Karthika Maasam. The holy sanctums in the region reverberated with the slokas of Lord Shiva, especially near Nagavalli river.
Serpentine queues of devotees could be seen from the wee hours on the day. Multitudes of women throng to temples, performed holy rituals & special pujas to the diety, in the pilgrim centres. On other hand, The police & Temple authorities have made adequate arrangements for the convenience of worshippers.
