The state Chief Minister, K. Rosaiah on Monday, launched a police website, in the city of Vijayawada. The launching programme was held at the State Guest house in the district.

According to Commissioner of Police P.S.R Anjaneyulu, the site was designed on the lines of existing Hyderabad and Cyberabad police websites. He stated that it would be useful to register complaints and track the registered case status, as it helps passport applicants to register themselves with police.

The user-friendly site provided information such as rules and procedures for registration of foreigners and extension of visa. Tracing the lost vehicles, updates on city traffic were some of the facilities being provided for the citizens through the websites.
