The Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, condemned the arrest of government employees, and stated that the government had no right to repress legitimate and peaceful protests.
In a letter to Chief Minister K Rosaiah, Naidu demanded the government to allow the ' Chalo Hyderabad ' rally, taken out by the Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners, be allowed to go on peacefully.
The former chief minister also pointed out that the government had no right to suppress any legitimate agitation. The TDP chief added that the Congress government, in the past 6 years, had failed to recruit all the required staff due to which employees were being overburdened, and were facing severe work pressure.
The former chief minister also said that the government should also take the initiative and come forward to find a solution to the problems of the employees.
