In its bid to tackle the Telangana problem, the Congress has decided to appoint a deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, from the region. Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily said, Sonia Gandhi has decided to choose a deputy chief minister from Telangana, but the name was yet to be announced.

Roiled by the cry for a separate Telangana state, Congress is looking for a political solution to the issue. The state Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy has taken over, as the new Chief Minister of state on Thursday, after K Rosaiah resigned on Wednesday, citing health reasons.
