Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu's latest comments on Telangana issue and rejection of the demand for submission of a joint memorandum/letter to Srikrishna Committee in support of separate State seemed to have triggered another round of churning in the party. A section of the senior leaders is stated to be upset over Mr. Naidu's remarks as they have come at a time when the party was down in the dumps in Telangana having forfeited deposit in all the 12 constituencies where byelections were held. Meanwhile, the meeting stated to have almost decided to launch a padayatra' in the districts to be affected by Babli and 13 other barrages upstream of Sriramsagar project, as part of its efforts to keep the issue alive.
