Decks cleared for KVP's exit

* Five other advisers likely to follow suit

Decks are cleared for the exit of State government's Adviser on Public Affairs K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, Rajya Sabha MP, from the key post. Five other advisers too will follow suit. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy's announcement in Delhi seeking resignation of all advisers is set to put an end to the vociferous demand from the Opposition as well as a section in the party on removal of Dr. Rao.

The tenure of the advisers ended last year, but the then Chief Minister K. Rosaiah had asked them to continue till further notice. All advisers, appointed by former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, have been maintaining a low profile barring Dr. Rao, after his death in September last year. He continued to be in the limelight even after a change of guard.
