* Over 60 leaders from the BJP will visit 150 villages
* Signature campaign in favour of Polavaram to be launched

East Godavari district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is launching the second round of Palle Pilupu' programme on November 29. Over 60 leaders from the party will visit 150 villages in 50 mandals and study the local problems during the three-day programme.

Party's district unit president Y. Malakondaiah, at a press conference here on Sunday, said that a signature campaign would be launched by the party in the district in favour of construction of the Polvaram irrigation project and the party leaders would create awareness among the farmers about the importance of the project.

Referring to the problems, Mr. Malakondaiah demanded that the government must take immediate steps to buy discoloured paddy from the farmers by announcing minimum support price.
