On the occasion of Holy Karthika Maasam, The Srisailam temple has been witnessing huge crowds. On the occasion of last holy Monday today, Thousands of devotees thronged to holy sanctum. The serpentine queues were witnessed from wee hours. With the Witnessing of large number of worshippers in the shrine, The temple was reverberated with the slokas of Lord Shiva.

With the custom of taking a holy dip in the water streams, The sacred river pathala-ganga was buzzed with pilgrim activity. In the meantime, Multitudes of women have performed several sacred rituals, to seek the blessings of presiding deity.
