Jagans exit: Hari warns UPA against PR merger

The north coastal districts responded meek to the Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddys resignation from the Parliament and the primary membership of the party. One of his main supporters and Anakapalle MP, Mr Sabbam Hari, strongly opposed to the alliance with Praja Rajyam.
Talking to reporters on Monday soon after the resignation of Mr Jagan, the MP said the resignation was unfortunate and it would cause damage to the party which had a strong base in the state. He said for the first time the party workers raised slogans against the United Progressive Alliance chairperson, Mrs Sonia Gandhi.
Without spelling out his stance directly, Mr Hari said he strongly opposed the alliance with Praja Rajyam stating that Congress always lost in its alliance with regional parties. He quoted the states of Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh where the party lost its footing.
