Tension prevailed as people panic with spread of flu

The dangerous Swine Flu is spreading like wild fire in the city. It is reported that 18 nursing students were tested positive for swine flu. The salaiva samples were sent to IPM in Narayanguda. Sudhakar Reddy a Medical expert at the Chest Hospital in the city said, that the students have been shifted to disaster management wards in the hospital. He said that generally during the monsoon, diseases like flu spread more faster. Dr Reddy asked people to stay alert and take necessary precautions as the deadly disease spreads through air. 14 centres Isolated centres have been setup at different hospitals in the city, he said. The government has joined hands with a few private hospitals for wider medical aid. After June this year 207 swine flu cases have been registered out of which 20 of succumbed to death.
