Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislator from Siddipet T. Harish Rao called upon the Congress leaders from the region not to become traitors of Telangana.

Participating in Deeksha Divas programme held at Siddipet on Monday, celebrating the one year celebrations of the Deeskha taken up by party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on November 29, 2009, Mr. Harish Rao said that people of Telangana will not appreciate if any of the Congress leaders resign in support of Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

He said that they have first hand information on some of the legislators who were willing to sail with Mr. Jagan. Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor M. Kodandaram said that the fast taken up Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao last year has created awareness about Telangana issue and a large number of people were involved in the movement. He said that it also led to a statement by Union Government in favour of the Telangana state.
