Trouble is brewing in the fledgling Kiran Kumar Reddy government as several senior Ministers, unhappy with the portfolios allocated to them, rose in a mood to revolt. Vatti Vasanth Kumar, who was given Tourism and Youth Services portfolio against the subject of Rural Development he had handled earlier, had faxed his resignation to the Chief Minister.

Some other Ministers are also likely to follow suit. Among the Ministers who have expressed dissatisfaction with their portfolios are Dharmana Prasada Rao,Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Botcha Satyanarayana, Kanna Laxminarayana. C. Damodar Rajanarsimha, Danam Nagendar, Jupally Krishna Rao and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

All of them are senior Congress leaders who have earlier served as Cabinet Ministers. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has deputed Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy to speak to the Ministers who are dissatisfied with their portfolios. The Ministers are likely to confront the Chief Minister at the maiden meeting of the new Cabinet this morning.
