Former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy embarked upon an exercise to strengthen his group by holding discussions with mandal-level and local leaders of Pulivendula, Rayachoti and Proddatur constituencies, in the wake of the induction of two MLAs and his MLC uncle from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency in Kiran Kumar Reddy government.Neither Jagan nor MLAs loyal to him aired any comments about the new Cabinet.

Of the seven MLAs in Kadapa LS segment, the lone TDP MLA M. Linga Reddy belongs to the TDP and two - D.L. Ravindra Reddy and Mohd. Ahmedullah - of the six others secured Cabinet berths. Moreover, Kadapa MLC Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, brother of YSR, has hold in Pulivendula segment.
