Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said the present political situation under Congress was worst ever faced by the State and people were vexed with the regime. At a press conference, he said he had seen the Congress rule during the periods, 1978 to 1983 and 1989 to '94, but the present one was at the lowest ebb with Cabinet Ministers competing with each other openly in milking the State dry and not for serving the people.

Though it was an internal affair of the Congress party, it was impacting the functioning of the government. Even the UPA government was only trying to shield those involved in the 2G spectrum allocation scam instead of bringing them to book by constituting a JPC.
