Attempts of Congress party at the national level to scuttle former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's political career will have little impact. People are watching how badly the family of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was treated by the Congress party high command, said Ambati Rambabu who has been a strong supporter of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Mr. Rambabu said Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy would grow as a true leader by endearing himself to the masses, not by destabilizing the Government led by N Kiran Kumar Reddy. The goal was to secure an impressive victory for his party in the 2014 elections.

The modalities of the party, including its name, were being worked out. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy would himself make an announcement at an appropriate time and also disclose whether he would seek re-election to Kadapa LS seat or contest from Pulivendula Assembly constituency.
