KCR ridicules Kiran's claim

Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has denied the claim of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at a meeting in Tandur of Ranga Reddy district on Sunday that the State lost investments of Rs. 6,000 crore on account of separate Telangana movement. Addressing a meeting of Telangana Journalists Forum, Mr. Rao asked whether there was need for using such methods if the government kept its word on conceding statehood for Telangana.
The government should honour the patience of the people of the region who waited with high hopes since 2004 when Congress gave the promise. He asked journalists of Telangana to form a parallel organisation to the AP Union of Working Journalists in line with all other service organisations of the region that split from AP-level bodies. There was no need for them to remain in APUWJ, he said and offered to contribute Rs.10 lakh for setting up of the new union.
