Congress sources have indicated that the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, may treat Mr Vatti Vasanth Kumar's resignation as a gross indiscipline and may direct the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to accept the resignation and appoint another person from the same community in his place. In all likelihood, Mr Vasanth Kumar who is in Delhi to get an appointment with the Congress chief may be given a cold shoulder. The names of two MLAs from Kapu community are being considered to replace him.
