Rain likely to continue

The depression over west central Bay of Bengal crossed Andhra coast near Bapatla on Wednesday morning and lay centred at 5.30 p.m. of Wednesday over Gannavaram as a well-marked low pressure area. It moves in a north-easterly direction and weakens gradually, according to a news bulletin issued by Cyclone Warning Centre.
Under its influence, rain is likely at many places over coastal AP during the next 48 hours and isolated heavy to very heavy rain will occur over coastal AP during the same period and decrease afterwards.
Strong surface winds from south-easterly direction speed reaching 45 to 50 kmph likely along and off coastal AP during the next 12 hours. Sea conditions will be moderate to rough.
