TRS MLAs force adjournment of AP Assembly

The state legislative Assembly, was adjourned without transacting any business on the first day of its winter session, over withdrawal of cases against pro-Telangana students, during statehood agitations last year.
On other hand, MIM also demanded that, the cases registered against 400 youths during the recent communal unrest & when Makka Masjid blast occurred in the city should also be withdrawn. Lets have a report in detail..
Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLAs forced adjournment of proceedings in State Assembly, just seven minutes after the commencement of first day of winter session. The party legislators came in a procession to the Assembly, wearing T-shirts with the slogans "Withdraw the cases foisted on students".
Demanding the Government that it should make a statement immediately, Telangana Rastra Samithi and Majlis Ithehadul Muslimeen members have disrupted proceedings in the house several times.
The TRS MLAs stormed the Speaker's podium holding placards and demanding that cases filed against students during the pro-Telangana agitation in December last year, be withdrawn immediately as per the statement made by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram. In the meantime, MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi demanded to withdraw the cases, registered against 400 youths during the recent communal unrest and Makka Masjid blast incident occurred in the city.
Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar, who was in the Chair, announced that, the government would make a statement in the House on teh issue. While, Minister for Legislative Affairs, D Sridhar Babu also appealed members to let order prevail in the House.
Meanwhile, The opposition Telugu Desam, Praja Rajyam, CPI, CPM and BJP suggested that the cases against students should be withdrawn immediately. The TRS legislators, however, remained adamant and raised slogans demanding withdrawal of cases.
Despite suspension of question hour, the House could not take up Farmers problems for discussion as decided earlier. Amidst disruptions, the house was adjourned four times for a brief period and for the day on the final time.
