Jai Telangana' slogans greeted Praja Rajyam chief K. Chiranjeevi as his helicopter landed at the Arjunigutta Pushkaram site in Kotapally mandal on Sunday. Thousands of devotees who had assembled at the banks of Pranahita river raised the slogans for some time apparently as a mark of protest towards the film star turned politician's stand on Telangana.

Talking to reporters, the PR president said he always respected Telangana culture and his stand on Telangana was always clear as he had committed himself to the outcome of the Justice Srikrishna Committee findings. Mr. Chiranjeevi said he will raise farmers' issue in the present session of the Legislative Assembly. He denied having been approached by the Congress to join the Cabinet.
