Naidu writes a letter to Manmohan
On the other side Naidu has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to direct the State government to immediately respond to the crisis faced by farmers and provide succour to them. Mr. Naidu whose indefinite fast entered the second day on Saturday complained in a letter to Dr. Manmohan Singh that the silence of the State government towards the problems of farming community was deafening and inhuman.
Its callousness was adding to the grimness of the situation and prompted him to undertake indefinite fast demanding justice to farmers.He sought a direction to the Central agencies to take up procurement in the State by ensuring minimum support price.
