Consultations almost complete

The Srikrishna Committee was not oblivious to what was happening on the ground and it was taking note of every development and incident in Andhra Pradesh, Chairman of the panel Justice B.N. Srikrishna stated on Friday. Justice Srikrishna said the committee would make its reading of the situation which would be clearly reflected in its report to be submitted by December 31. But, the opinion they had drawn would not be disclosed now.
Asked whether there would be any impact of sentiments, emotions and suicides on the committee's report, he said they would not have any effect. Member-Secretary V.K. Duggal stated that the Committee had completed about 99 per cent of its consultations would be meeting a few more groups in the first or second week of September. A group of Congress MPs from the State would meet the committee, possibly after the ongoing Parliament session, he said.
