Communist Party of India-Marxist politburo member Sitaram Yechury on Sunday, expressed solidarity with Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been on an indefinite fast since the past 3 days pressing, for a revised relief package for rain-hit farmers.

At the sametime, Yechury demanded that the state government was in a dilemma regarding the release of a meager amount of Rs. 10,000 per acre for rain-hit farmers whereas at the centre the 2G spectrum scam has caused the exchequer a loss of Rs. 1.76 lakh crores.

He called upon the left party rank to join Naidu's agitation and extend full support and cooperation to farmers who are reeling under hardships across the country.
