Naidu writes to farmers, says he will continue fast

Telugu Desam leader N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to farmers on Monday declaring that he would continue with the fast until minimum support price was paid for all crops and adequate compensation given to flood-hit farmers. The TDP president said he was prepared for anything to wipe the
tears of farmers. Declaring that he would not touch even a morsel of food till justice was rendered to farmers, he said it would be unwise to think that the agitation would be suppressed. Hitting out at the Centre and State government, he said while the State sought Rs.8,036 crore in the aftermath of Jal' cyclone in September, it responded by releasing a mere Rs.81 crore. In another statement, he expressed anguish over the deaths of some TDP workers due to heart attacks following reports of deterioration in his health condition and suicides by farmers.
