Police Must Apologize CPI

Condemning the police high-handedness, while forcibly arresting and shifting Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu from the fasting site to NIMS Hospital, on Monday morning, CPI general secretary K Narayana said that the onus was on the state government now to show its commitment to farmers' welfare. Talking to media persons after enquiring about the health of Naidu from NIMS doctors, the Left party leader said the government should have shown its commitment in solving farmers' issues, by revising the compensation package announced earlier.
Terming the police's action on Naidu as 'undemocratic', Narayana demanded disciplinary action on the errant policemen, and sought an apology from them. He added that the police should also apologise to the TDP workers who were injured during the 7-hour long turmoil at Adarsh Nagar.
