Ready for CBI Inquiry says Karunakar Reddy

Former TTD Board Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy on Sunday said he was ready to face an inquiry by the CBI or a sitting judge into the allegations of corruption levelled against him when he headed the board. Mr. Reddy submitted a memorandum to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan requesting him to direct the State government to order a probe on the charges for ensuring that the prestige of the temple was not lost. The development comes in the light of the serious charges made by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on alleged embezzlement of huge amounts by the TTD management. People should know the truth and is prepared for any punishment if found guilty of any charge, he said while criticising efforts by some parties to portray him as an atheist.
